2月17日、オーストラリアのロイヤルランドウィック競馬場において第3レースと第4レースの間に芝1200mのレース形式のバリアトライアルが行われ3月の今季初戦を目指すウィンクスが順調な姿をファンに披露した。仕上がりも上々で上がり3ハロンは33.5、全体でも直後に行われた重賞戦のタイムを上回った。始動戦は3月3日のチッピングノートンSの予定。
